LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip have announced a series of joint North American tour dates.
DFA spread beyond New York a long time ago. Searching out kindred spirits, the label is the Stateside home of London electro geeks Hot Chip allowing for the band to develop close links with the roster.
LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip are close friends, with Al Doyle even doing a stint in both acts. The groups have both released new albums, with each band currently finishing off lengthy tours.
So it makes sense for them to share a tour bus. Earlier this month LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip announced some joint British shows, with the venture now being extended across North America.
The pair are due to join forces later this year, with a number of shows being announced. The venues aren't bad, either with the opening night seeing thousands descend on the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The small number of dates include shows in Salt Lake City and Milwaukee, though this could be added to. Tickets are due to go on sale shortly.
LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip are then set to travel to Britain for a number of shows in November. Don't forget, this could be your last chance to catch LCD Soundsystem with James Murphy vowing to discontinue the band.
The New Yorkers released their third album 'This Is Happening' earlier this year, a triumphant return which bowled over critics. Apparently Murphy's last release under that name, LCD Soundsystem aim to go out by partying with some old friends.
LCD Soundsystem / Hot Chip have confirmed the following shows:
October
15 Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl
19 Salt Lake City The Complex
22 Milwaukee The Rave
