American geek rockers Weezer have confirmed pre-order plans for their upcoming album 'Hurley'.
A defining indie rock group, Weezer were in reality signed to a major label for the bulk of their career. Parting ways last year, the band have now underlined their indie credentials by signing with Epitaph.
Recording new material last year, singer Rivers Cuomo battled back from a serious bus crash to complete the album. Working on a host of new tracks, the band even released a single to coincide with the World Cup.
Unusually for American rock groups, Weezer are massive football fans. 'Represent' was released this summer to coincide with the tournament, with the United States coming within a whisker of the Quarter Finals.
Dusting themselves down from this disappointment, the band completed their new album. Named 'Hurley' in honour of the character from 'Lost' singer the album even features the actor on the cover.
Musically, the record is said to get back to basics. Rivers Cuomo explained recently that "there's definitely going to be more raw rock energy on this one".
Due to be released on September 13th, the band have yet to preview any tracks from the forthcoming album. However in a new announcement Weezer did confirm details of a special pre-order bundle.
Available now on the Epitaph website, the 'Super =W= Bundle' includes the album on CD, a limited edition green vinyl pressing of 'Hurley', a deluxe digital download and three exclusive t-shirts.
In addition to this, Weezer have confirmed smaller bundle deals for fans including t-shirts and standalone CDs.
Weezer are due to release 'Hurley' on September 13th.
