Bloc Party singer turned solo star Kele has confirmed a lengthy British tour this Autumn.
When Bloc Party tired of the road last year, few expected singer Kele Okereke to re-invent himself. Yet that is exactly what the frontman has done with his stunning new album 'The Boxer'.
Left alone in a studio with a vast array of vintage synths, Kele began producing music in a different way than he had ever attempted before. Bloc Party had always loved dance music, but now the singer was able to push his creativity in new directions.
Emerging with a stunning slice of electro-pop, 'The Boxer' was praised for its energy and verve. Playing a number of solo shows, Kele appeared at Glastonbury and seemed to be loving the solo life.
Set to play Reading and Leeds later this year the singer will then take a short break. Re-charging his batteries Kele has arranged a lengthy nationwide tour taking place across the Autumn.
New single 'Everything You Wanted' is out today, a ballad which suddenly kicks into gear with some exotic production. Already a favourite with fans, expect the track to be a highlight of his forthcoming sets.
Opening in Birmingham on November 15th, the new tour takes in dates around the country. Shows in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Bristol follow before the jaunt wraps up on November 20th.
Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale this Thursday (August 19th).
