New collective Mt Desolation are set to showcase some familiar faces on their forthcoming debut album.
Some people just can't sit still. With Keane and The Killers both taking time off, Tim-Rice Oxley and Jesse Quin decided to take a trip to Dublin. After more than a few pints of Guinness, the duo woke up to find that they had recorded a new demo.
Forming Mt Desolation, the duo invited some friends on board. Returning to London, those initial demos were soon expanded as the project began to take on a life of its own with the help of some famous friends.
Members of Mumford & Sons dropped by, with the studio soon filling with some talented guests. The result is Mt Desolation's new debut album, which is due to be released on October 18th.
Self-titled, the album contains some ten tracks. Moving from pastoral folk to indie rock, Mt Desolation is the sounds of well known songwriters having fun in the studio, with all the pressure of fame off their backs.
