
The Carskey estate on the Mull of Kintyre, immortalised by Sir Paul McCartney in the 1977 Wings song, has been put on the market for £2.96 million.
McCartney, Clash Magazine's latest cover star, bought the Carskey estate on the Kintyre peninsula in the late 60s and was so inspire by the area's beauty that he penned the huge Christmas hit. The single was the first in the UK to sell over two million copies and was Wings' biggest UK hit, it's rousing finale boasting the Campbeltown Pipe Band.
On the market for £2.95 million the buyer would bag 7,360 acres, a nine bedroom Edwardian house and nine miles of coastline.
