Welsh actor Rhys Ifans, currently starring in the Howard Marks biopic 'Mr Nice', has been confirmed as the lead villian in the forthcoming Spiderman reboot which focuses on Peter Parker's high school years.
While Andrew Garfield is to play Spiderman himself, Ifans is set to appear as the main villian although the character hasn't been specified at the moment. The re-boot comes after the trilogy of Sam Raimi directed films with a release date scheduled for Summer 2012.
