Ray Davies has released a short film introducing his collaborative new effort 'See My Friends'.
With an extensive back catalogue, Ray Davies is one of the most influential songwriters Britain has produced. From garage rock, to punk and Britpop several generations have doffed their cap to the former Kinks leader.
Working in his own KONK studio, the singer recently decided to re-visit some of his finest moments. In a special twist, Ray Davies invited some stellar talent to re-record the tracks with him.
The resulting album contains a raft of special guest appearances. 'See My Friends' is due to be released on November 8th, and boasts material from Billy Corgan, Bruce Springsteen, Mumford & Sons and Metallica.
A varied cast!
Also featuring one of the final recordings made by the late, great Big Star vocalist Alex Chilton the album is keenly awaited by fans. As a special introduction, Ray Davies has recorded a new video featuring a 'Track By Track' guide.
