Kasabian and The Chemical Brothers are set to headline next summer's RockNess festival.
Nestled in the Scottish Highlands, RockNess packs a hefty punch. Located in a beautiful valley by the shores of Loch Ness, the festival has secured a series of stunning performances from big name artists.
This summer saw Leftfield, Doves, Vampire Weekend and The Strokes play the Scottish event - a line up which earned RockNess the 'Best Festival Line Up' trophy at this year's UK Festival Awards.
Now organisers have revealed two big names for next summer's instalment. RockNess will boast a Scottish festival exclusive performance from Kasabian, fresh from their biggest ever tour.
A stunning live act, Kasabian have dominated the festival season. Headlining T In The Park this summer, the band gathered a huge crowd which sang every word from every song right back at the Leicester band.
Summer favourites, Kasabian have pencilled in a Dores date for their diary. Elsewhere, The Chemical Brothers are set to return to RockNess, bringing with them one of the most epic live shows in dance music.
Fresh from the artistic success of 'Further' the band are on sizzling form. In a statement The Chemical Brothers said: “This will be the first time we have played in Scotland since 2008 and so it’s really exciting to be headlining one of our favourite festivals. RockNess is an amazing place to play and we can’t wait to be back there again”.
Meanwhile, festival director Jim King added: “We said last year that we really wanted a big rock band and in Kasabian we have the biggest rock band in the UK today. They're going to take the roof off. As for The Chemical Brothers, they epitomise everything we ever dreamed about as a RockNess headliner. They are one of my favourite bands of all time, true pioneers and RockNess legends".
RockNess takes place between June 10th - 12th.
