Two Door Cinema Club are to release their new single 'What You Know' on January 24th.
The rise of the internet has completely changed the music industry, but even the web cannot compete with word of mouth hype. Touring continuously over the past 12 months, Two Door Cinema Club have turned critical indifference into commercial success.
Releasing their debut album to yawns from many jaded hacks, Two Door Cinema Club simply took their electro rock roadshow across the country.
Fast forward twelve months, and the band have left a trail of shattered ear drums in their wake. Increasing their live muscle, Two Door Cinema Club have been able to win fans across the UK and beyond.
In total, by the time Midnight tolls on December 31st the band will have played a jaw dropped 214 sold out shows. An incredible number, it doesn't even count the multitude of festival sets the band completed.
Set to finish the year with a series of long sold out shows, Two Door Cinema Club will then open 2011 with two nights in Dublin.
To celebrate, the band have confirmed details of their new single. The Bangor boys will released a new radio edit of radio edit 'What You Know' on January 24th, before taking a well earned rest.
Needing time to work on new material, 'What You Know' comes as the band prepare to kick off their biggest tour to date. Opening in March, Two Door Cinema Club will play a show in Glasgow which has been updated to the Barrowlands venue.
Ending in Dublin on March 19th, tickets for the shows are already sold out.
