New footage of a special one off Bruce Springsteen show has been leaked onto the internet.
Released in 1978, 'Darkness At The Edge Of Town' ended a period of legally imposed silence on Bruce Springsteen. The dark flipside to the optimism of 'Born To Run' the album remains one of the most creative documents Springsteen has released.
Recently given a lavish re-issue, the box set was titled 'The Promise'. Containing bonus tracks, unreleased rarities, early demo recordings and a full length documentary new light was shed on Bruce Springsteen's working process.
To celebrate the release, Bruce Springsteen took the E Street Band to New Jersey for a special one off concert. Re-visiting 'Darkness At The Edge Of Town' the group were on ferocious form, throwing in the odd curveball or two.
Performing at the Carousel House in New Jersey, the band threw in some tracks which have never been given a live airing before.
A camera crew was present to capture the event, with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performing in front of only sixty fans. Directed and edited by Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny and mixed by Emmy-winner Bob Clearmountain, the concert ends with a rendition of 'Blue Christmas'.
