Reclusive group Wu Lyf have confirmed a short UK tour, including their first ever shows outside Manchester.
For new groups these days, getting noticed involved a hell of a lot of work. Putting on your own shows, gaining a support slot, playing endless (tedious) showcase events all to gain a small fanbase you can call your own.
However Manchester newcomers Wu Lyf have done things their own way. Keeping gigs to a minimum, the band have yet to play outside of Manchester with their material leaking out across the web.
The lack of shows has led to furious speculation. Are they for real? Or a bunch of posers? Musically, Wu Lyf seem to lurk between indie, electronics and even hip hop with their material difficult to place.
Keeping their identity secret, Wu Lyf are planning to break cover next year. Honing their live show, the Manchester newcomers have confirmed their first ever dates outside their hometown.
Taking place in February, the new shows mark the first chance some fans will have of witnessing Wu Lyf in action. The first date takes place in Glasgow on February 1st, before the band travel to London.
Taking place in the Corsica Studios venue, Wu Lyf will play the capital on February 3rd. Arriving with a great deal of hype around them, the Manchester group will have it all to prove before flying out to Berlin for a one off show.
