Fleet Foxes have sold out their forthcoming show at the Hammersmith Apollo, with a second night being added.

Harking back to a lost sense of Americana, Fleet Foxes released their debut album in 2008. The self-titled effort became a word of mouth sensation, eventually rising to break into the UK Top Ten.

Nominated for a BRIT Award, Fleet Foxes enjoyed enormous success despite being on the small independent Bella Union. However the label have worked their fingers to the bone, pushing the band to ever greater heights.

Retreating to their native United States to work on a follow up, Fleet Foxes recently broke cover. Confirming the release of their second album 'Helplessness Blues' the band decided to give away the title track as a free download.

A typically fresh blast of songwriting, 'Helplessness Blues' nonetheless has an air of experience. Fleet Foxes are more experienced in the studio, and as a result can afford to take greater risks.

Alongside the new album, Fleet Foxes confirmed details of a one off show at the Hammersmith Apollo. Their first British appearance in over a year, tickets for the gig went on sale on Friday (February 4th).

Selling out in under an hour, phone lines almost buckled due to the demand. Quickly adding another show, Fleet Foxes are now set for a return visit to the venue on June 1st.

Tickets for the extra show are on sale now but better act quick - they aren't expected to sit around for long.

Fleet Foxes are due to play the following shows:

May
31 London Hammersmith Apollo (SOLD OUT)

June
1 London Hammersmith Apollo
