Californian indie types Dum Dum Girls are giving away a track from their forthcoming EP.
Mixing doo-wop with all out noise, Dum Dum Girls add a little feminine charm to the Jesus & Mary Chain buzz-saw guitar template. Signed to Sub Pop, the band's debut album 'I Will Be' was a critical success.
Sure, it wasn't exactly breaking new ground but the band's songwriting could hardly be questioned. Ramshackle indie pop rarely felt as thrilling, with Dum Dum Girls emerging as an illicit thrill.
Taking time off to work on a new EP, Sub Pop are plotting to release 'He Gets Me High' on March 1st. The first batch of new material the band have completed since their debut album, the EP is much more than a throwaway.
