Rusko has been forced to cancel an upcoming British tour due to a slipped disc.
Dubstep producer Rusko has enjoyed enormous success. Arguably the bass scene's most visible proponent in the United States, the beatsmith was recently invited into the studio by Britney Spears.
The collaboration did not lead to any concrete material, although Rusko's influence can be felt on her album. An in demand remix artist, the producer is set to return with what could be his breakthrough album.
Yet this success is matched by a streak of bad luck. Rusko has had numerous niggles with his health, resulting in a few call offs. Returning home last year the producer discovered that part of his house was on fire.
Starting in his car, the flames soon spread to the kitchen and - sadly - his home studio. Now the bad luck streak has continued, with Rusko cancelled a forthcoming European tour due to a slipped disc.
A short statement from the producer outlined his feelings: “I’m absolutely f*cking gutted – sorry everyone.”
Currently on tour in Australia, the producer suffered the slipped disc before a recent show. There are no firm plans for a replacement tour, although Rusko has stated he intends to re-arrange the dates.
Opening in Oxford Academy on March 4th, the shows include some important appearances from the producer. Due to play London's Fabric later this Spring, the tour was designed to promote his new album.
Refunds are available from the point of purchase.
