Antony & The Johnsons are set to release the ten inch EP 'Swanlights' on Record Store Day.

Returning with a new album last year, Antony & The Johnsons proved that they remained as affecting as ever. A beautiful collection of songs, 'Swanlights' seemed uniquely unforced in the power of its delivery.

Since then, fans have been treated to a follow up EP. 'Thank You For Your Love' was released in the summer, and contained a sublime cover of 'Imagine' which contained little more than piano and Antony Hegarty's voice.

Now the group have surprised fans by announcing yet another new EP. 'Swanlights' will be released on ten inch vinyl, just in time for this year's instalment of Record Store Day (April 16th).

The title track is drawn from their recent album of the same name, with Antony & The Johnsons adding some bonus material. Antony has described the concept of ‘Swanlights’ as “the reflection of light on the surface of the water at night and the moment when a spirit jumps out of a body and turns into a violet ghost.”

An exploration of humanity's relationship with the natural world, themes taken from the album continue on the new EP.

Alongside the title track, 'Swanlights' EP contains a remix courtesy of cult drone based producer Oneohtrix Point Never. The EP will also boast two entirely new B-sides: 'Find The Rhythm Of Your Love' and 'Kissing No One'.

Released in time for Record Store Day (April 16th) the new EP will be available through Rough Trade on ten inch vinyl. Meanwhile, 'Swanlights' is set to be accompanied by a special video, directed by Antony Hegarty's sister Sara.
