Johnny Foreigner are set to return with a new album and a massive nationwide tour.
Johnny Foreigner are relentless. Live and on record the band are a flurry of energy, throwing ideas into their immaculately constructed indie rock. Never stopping to take themselves seriously, the trio simply get on with the job of being a band - and do it well.
Last year the band released not one but two EPs, alongside a flurry of live dates. Wot, no album? Slow coaches... (we joke).
However in 2011 Johnny Foreigner aim to remedy that with a brand spanking new album. Now signed to label du jour Alcopop! Records the band have been working on new material, with sessions already under way.
Due for release later this year, the forthcoming album would be the band's third full length statement. Keeping the material under wraps, Johnny Foreigner are planning to break cover on a nationwide tour.
Announcing shows across the country, the band will stay on the road throughout April. Promising a host of surprises, Johnny Foreigner could well pepper their set with material from their new album.
Opening with a one off show on March 7th, Johnny Foreigner will start the tour proper on April 2nd. The first show takes place in Edinburgh as part of Haddowfest, before the trio shoot off around the country.
Dates in Glasgow, Nottingham, Preston and more follow. A hometown show in Birmingham on April 26th has been announced, with Johnny Foreigner set to finish the tour in Wimbledon on April 30th.
Meanwhile, Johnny Foreigner have confirmed an appearance at the Camden Crawl. Taking place on May 1st, the show represents a rare excursion to the capital.
