TV On The Radio are streaming the first track to be taken from their forthcoming album 'Nine Types Of Light'.

Releasing 'Dear Science' in 2008, TV On The Radio completed an album arc which saw them become one of the most challenging, thought provoking and celebrated rock groups of their generation.

Deciding to take a break, the band embarked on a series of solo projects. Kyp Malone released an album under his own name, while Dave Sitek helped produce new material from Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Reconvening last year, work began on a potential follow up to 'Dear Science'. Sessions were kept low key, before news broke that TV On The Radio had completed their new album.

Due to be released on April 11th, the record has been named 'Nine Types Of Light'. As yet, little is known about the album with the full tracklisting being kept firmly under wraps until later this year.

With few live appearances to go on, TV On The Radio have released new track 'Will Do'. Available to stream now, you can listen to it below:

The results? Well as you would expect, 'Will Do' is a galvanising piece of cerebral art rock. However the track is also quite immediate, while revealing more about itself on subsequent listens.

A good primer for the album, 'Nine Types Of Light' is set to drop on April 11th.
