
Mount Kimbie are set to break cover after announcing a full nationwide tour in April.
The past year has seen bass music intersect with traditional song structures in groundbreaking new ways. Artists such as Pariah blend vocal samples with processed beats, with Mount Kimbie using live instruments.
After a series of acclaimed EPs the duo dropped their debut album 'Crooks & Lovers' last year. A mixture of post-rock, garage beats and traditional songwriting the record was a stunning cohesion of influences.
Live, Mount Kimbie take this further. Pushing each track to ever broader territory, the Brighton duo have an expansive performance style which never lapses into self-indulgence.
Touring heavily towards the end of last year, a remix EP close 2010 in some style. Taking some time off, Mount Kimbie are now set to break cover once again after announcing a lengthy April tour.
Opening with a show in Glasgow's basement venue Stereo, the tour takes in dates in Edinburgh, Norwich and more. Hitting Brighton on April 26th, Mount Kimbie will travel up to London for a show at Heaven.
Taking place on April 28th, the London show is a stand out on a tour which will be littered with special performances. Ending in Manchester, Mount Kimbie will draw extensively on their acclaimed debut album.
