Former Led Zeppelin icon Robert Plant has added a London Forum show to his upcoming tour.
When the rumours of Led Zeppelin's reformation began in earnest last summer, Robert Plant ruled himself out of any potential tour. The singer had begun a solo career, and confirmed that he was tired of electric music.
Releasing 'Raising Sand' in 2007, it was easy to see why. In terms of reviews and sales it was the singer's best received album in some time, scooping a total of six trophies at the Grammy awards.
A series of duets with Alison Krauss, Robert Plant is now due to follow the album with more new material. 'Band Of Joy' is a hotly anticipated affair, ending a three year wait for new material.
To record the album Robert Plant took his Band Of Joy over the United States, setting up home in Tennessee. Co-produced by Nashville legend Buddy Miller the album is Robert Plant's tenth solo effort to date.
Now fans will get a preview of the material with a series of solo dates. Robert Plant is set to tour across the southern United States this summer, before heading to Britain for a series of shows.
Robert Plant will open his British dates with a newly announced show at London's Forum venue. Taking place on September 2nd, tickets for the show have just been made available from the venue's box office.
Other dates include appearances in Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester.
Robert Plant will play the following shows:
