Adele is holding on to her chart record, with both studio albums lingering in the Top Five.

Released to widespread acclaim, Adele's debut album '19' was a slow burning success. Eventually going double platinum, the record showcased her stunning vocals and rapidly emerging songwriting.

Returning with '21' earlier this year, Adele has finally reached the prominence she deserves. With her single 'Rolling In The Deep' still in the upper echelons of the charts, the singer took to the stage at the BRITs last week under considerable pressure.

Performing 'Someone Like You' backed only by a piano, her stunning vocals and obvious emotion made the song a highlight of the ceremony. A massive talking point, the seemingly universal nature of the performance has made the nation take the singer firmly to its heart.

As a result, Adele has enjoyed an enormous sales boost. Amazon reports an 800% rise in sales in the hours following the BRITs, a rate that has barely slowed in the days and weeks since then.

Last week Adele became the first artist since the Beatles to have two albums and two singles in the Top Five at the same time.

Now Adele has continued her chart onslaught. '21' remains at number one on the album countdown, while '19' has risen to number two.

Fellow BRIT Award winners Mumford & Sons also enjoyed a sale boost. Debut album 'Sigh No More' soared back into the upper reaches of the charts, with the LP now falling to number five.

The current UK Top Ten albums are:

1. Adele - 21
2. Adele - 19
3. Rihanna - Loud
4. Glee Cast - Glee The Music Vol. 4
5. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
6. Bruno Mars - Doo Wops & Hooligans
7. Tinie Tempah - Disc Overy
8. Plan B - The Defamation Of Strickland Banks
9. Cee-Lo Green - The Lady Killer
10. JLS - Outta This World
